Happy BulkSMSing.
We regret to announce that we have temporarily disabled the Dual-Backup DND Management option (i.e. the 4th Option).
This has become necessary because of the persistent delays in receiving delivery reports from our provider.
Before now, delivery reports get to us in less than 5 minutes after message dispatch. But of late, delivery reports now take much longer and in some cases over 12 hours.
This means that our system is unable to determine which numbers have received the message and resends the message via Hosted SIM to most recipients including those that have already received the message via the regular bulk SMS route.
We have tried adjusting the resend time from 5 minutes to 30 minutes and of late to 4 hours. However, sometimes the delivery report still comes in much later.
Hence, we have decided to temporarily shut down the option until when our provider is able to resolve the delivery report issue or when we find a better alternative.
Should you need to send a mission-critical message for which you depended on the dual-backup option, please, kindly make use of the dual-dispatch (the 5th DND Management option) for now.
Please, do bear with us.

Dear Customer,
We are pleased to inform you we are no longer observing deductions of funds for messages sent to DND numbers on MTN Nigeria's network ( NNC: 62130 ).
Apparently, MTN was updating their DND Database yesterday and as such couldn't actively filter out DND numbers. This resulted in their system billing for DND numbers.
We'll continue to monitor delivery to ensure no further issues are observed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Dear Customer,
We have observed that MTN Nigeria is currently billing for messages sent to DND numbers on their network and no longer report the numbers as "MSISDN in DND".

Dear Customer,
Please kindly note that Mobile Network Operators have started filtering/blocking "election" messages.
These means that messages that contain words such as Election, PDP, APC, Atiku, Buhari, Vote, etc might not be delivered.
Our Recommendations:
Happy BulkSMSing.
Dear Customer,
As you might have been aware, the corporate route which we used to deliver to DND numbers has been down since November 2018. As a result, we then reverted to refunding for messages sent to DND numbers.
However, we have received several inquiries and complaints from several of our users which prompted us to invest in building a SIM Hosting Data Center.
So far, we have been able to deploy our SIM Hosting Solution with the basic features and have already commenced testing.
The SIM hosting solution has opened up a whole lot of other possibilities which we intend to explore in full further down the road. Some of these possibilities include Two-Way Messaging, Voice SMS, OTP verification via Call, Airtime Recharges, etc.
For now, you can send messages to DND numbers via SIM Cards hosted on Server.
Broadly, we offer three options:
1. Shared SIM Hosting
2. Dedicated SIM Hosting (unlimited keywords)
3. Shared SIM Hosting with Keyword support
With this option, you make use of SIM Cards registered by us. Use of these SIM cards doesn't attract any monthly fees. However, because these SIMs are registered in our names, we are a bit strict about granting access to the service.
To qualify, you will need to send us a Nigerian government-issued ID card (Voter's Card, NIMC National ID Card, Driver's License, International Passport) and a proof of residence. Please note, ID verification and approval is FREE until Sunday 20th January 2018. Thereafter, it will cost two thousand naira (₦2,000) only.
Also, messages sent via the shared SIMs are audited to ensure it meets our quality standard. Spam, fraudulent, Threat, prank and other less than wholesome messages are absolutely forbidden via our shared SIM channel.
For the Dedicated SIM Option, you will need to purchase, register and send your SIM card of choice to us. We will then host it and configure it for use on your account. You will be able to
Setup Fee for the Dedicated SIM Hosting Solution is fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) only with a recurring monthly fee of ten thousand naira (₦10,000) only.
Shared SIM Hosting with Keyword Support is suitable for clients who require two-way messaging feature but don't have the budget for dedicated SIM hosting. With this option, we will assign a KEYWORD to your account and any message received from our SIM starting with your KEYWORD forwarded to you. These messages can be forwarded to your email, phone (via SMS), and application (via API). Also, it will be accessible via our portal.
Setup fee for Shared SIM Hosting with keyword support is two thousand naira (₦2,000) per keyword and a monthly fee of one thousand naira (₦1,000) only.

Dear Valued Customer,
You may have noticed, we experienced a downtime of our delivery report system yesterday (29th November 2018). For about 10 hours (starting at 10:05 am to 08:13 pm), all messages successfully sent and accepted by the network operators had their delivery status stuck as "Sent Awaiting Status".
This issue was caused by a firewall misconfiguration which rate-limited and marked as a threat the flood of delivery report update requests coming for the network operators.
However, this did not impact the actual delivery of messages.
We are glad to inform you that this issue has been resolved.
We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Support Team.

In a bid to curb spam and fraudulent messages, Airtel Nigeria now delivers all bulk SMS sent without a pre-approved Sender ID with INFINITI as it's sender ID. Same is applicable to MTN DND numbers.
To further clarify, if you haven't pre-registered your sender ID with Airtel & MTN Nigeria all messages you send to Airtel numbers and MTN DND numbers will deliver with INFINITI as the sender ID.
We have engaged the operators and hope to arrive at a better resolution soon.
However, for now, if you would like to deliver your messages with your customized sender ID, you will need to apply for sender ID registration. You can reach out to us via support@bulksmsnigeria.com for the template of the application.
Please note that registration of sender ID can only be done for corporate entities registered in Nigeria by the Corporate Affairs Commission. Also, preference is given to businesses in the Financial Sector.
Also note that other lines (i.e. Globacom, 9Mobile, non-DND MTN Numbers and International Numbers) will still receive your message with your chosen sender ID.
Our Recommendations:
Dear Valued Customer,
This is to inform you that MTN Nigeria has applied filter on below-mentioned words:
Kindly avoid the use of these words in the body of your message as the message will most likely not deliver and units will be lost.
ALTERNATIVES
Here are some alternatives you can adopt it is necessary to make
Whatever strategy you choose to adopt, please, always send a message to your line first to confirm deliverability of your message before sending to all the numbers on your list. This is a necessary measure to forestall the loss of units.
We would like to inform you that the network/connection issue with MTN Nigeria Corporate.
Messages sent to MTN DND numbers via the corporate route are now being delivered.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you do experience any delays or require some support.

This is to avoid loss of units as we can't yet tell if messages sent via the Corporate Route within this period will eventually deliver after the issue is resolved.
Please note: This issue only affects delivery to MTN numbers on the Do-Not-Disturb (DND) list. Delivery to other networks as well as non-DND MTN numbers is okay.
We will immediately notify you once there is a resolution.
Thank you for your understanding.
Due to regulatory issues, MTN Nigeria has stopped Open Sender id for DND numbers.
This means that messages sent to DND lines on the MTN Network will deliver with a default sender ID.
For now, the default sender ID is "INFO". However, this could be changed without notice.
Please note, that this only affects MTN DND Numbers, as lines on other networks (Airtel, 9Mobile, and Globacom) will receive your message with your Sender ID, including non-DND active MTN numbers.
“We advise that you start your MESSAGE with your Sender ID, so your recipients will easily recognize the Sender on opening the SMS even if the Sender ID changes.”
Example: Instead of “Hi John, Thanks for signing up….” you can change your message body to “BULKSMSNG: Hi John, Thanks for signing up…”. In this case, 'BULKSMSNG' is our sender ID.
This will help your recipients recognize the sender even if the Sender ID gets changed.
Alternatively, you could put a signature at the end of your message. However, we recommend starting your message with your sender ID as some recipients might not read all the way down if they are unable to identify the sender.
Dear Customer,

Our bulk SMS service was launched in 2014 (as SMS.i.ng) and we have come a long way with your support.
Before now, BulkSMSNigeria.com has been run as a service under Audacity ICT Solutions Ltd, and now it has become necessary for us to restructure our operations.
Henceforth, our Bulk SMS Service (BulkSMSNigeria.com) as well as our soon to be launched Airtime and Bill Payment Service (AirtimeNigeria.com) will now be run by Audacity Mobile Ltd as a different entity. While Audacity ICT Solutions Ltd will continue as Website & Software Development outfit.
Please, kindly note that our bank accounts have also changed. Here are our new bank account details.
Account Name: (Audacity Mobile Ltd)
Henceforth, all bank payments (transfer/deposit) for bulk SMS account top-up should be made to any of Audacity Mobile Ltd's bank account.
Also, note that payments made into Audacity ICT Solutions Ltd's bank account for bulk SMS account top-up will no longer be honoured after 31st August 2018.
Thanks for your continued support.
This is to bring to your attention that MTN Nigeria has enforced stricter restrictions on bulk SMS delivery to MTN numbers. At the moment it is unclear what is being blocked and why. We have reached out to MTN in this regards and still awaiting their response.
All messages with numeric sender ID are currently being blocked by MTN, both alpha-numeric and all-numeric sender ID. Even if it just a single digit in the sender ID, the message will not be delivered by MTN. Examples of such Sender IDs are 1234, BulkSMS1, 1stBaptist, RCCG Oyo 1, etc.
Steps Taken So Far:
We have updated our bulk SMS portal to prevent sending messages with numeric sender IDs. This means your message won't be dispatched if our system detects number(s) in your sender ID and you won't be billed also. Rather, you will get a prompt requesting that you change your sender ID to something else without numbers.
Our Recommendation:
Before mass sending your messages, please kindly test delivery with an MTN number to ensure that nothing in the body or sender ID of your message is being blocked by MTN. At least till we get further clarifications from MTN.
Hi Esteemed Clients,
We commenced deduction of Stamp Duty Fee on Monday, the 23rd of October, 2017.
The Stamp Duty is only applicable to payments of up to 1,000NGN made via bank transfer or deposit into any of our bank accounts.
This doesn't apply to payments made via Paystack (including the 'Pay with Bank' Option).
Interestingly, 7 months after the implementation of the Stamp Duty deduction, a thousand naira payments still remains one of our most frequent deposit/transfer amount.
So far we have received a couple of thousand 'one-thousand' naira deposits/transfers between 23rd October 2017 till date (22nd May 2018).
Hence, we thought it wise to reiterate you (our esteemed clients) on how to avoid 'avoidable' deductions as we want you to get the most value for your funds.
1. Pay ₦950/ ₦999 instead of ₦1,000 as Stamp Duty only deducted for payments up to ₦1,000.
2. Consider making use of Paystack which also comes with auto-crediting (www.bulksmsnigeria.com/payment )
3. Split your payments especially if you are making use of intra-bank transfer where you don't incur extra charges for transfers. For instance, instead of paying a single ₦2,700 payment, you can make 3 deposits/transfers of ₦900 each. We don't mind if you don't mind. :-)
4. Combine your payments: Instead of funding your account with ₦1,000 every other day, consider paying a lump sum (e.g ₦10,000). This will also reduce your cost per unit as your effective rate gets lower the higher your recharge. Also, note that our units don't expire so you have nothing to lose.
If you have questions about our billings (deductions/additions), kindly check your transactions history page first (https://www.bulksmsnigeria.com/app/transactions ) as we keep a detailed log of every deductions and additions on your account.
If you still need further clarification, do not hesitate to contact us by phone (090 500 300 90), live chat or email (support@bulksmsnigeria.com).
Happy BulkSMSing.
Now you can get a refund or resend your messages to DND numbers with a single click if you running out of funds in your wallet during the auto-resend phase.
To resend or get a refund
Please note, bulk SMS can be delivered to DND numbers only via the Corporate Route Like you know, we either refund units for DND messages or resend to DND units using the corporate route.
Using the Corporate Route costs N3.49 / page of SMS while using the regular route cost N1.99 per page of SMS and as such, we charge an additional N1.50 per page of SMS to resend to each DND number on your list.
What this implies is that you need to have enough funds in your wallet to cover the resend of the DND messages.
